When we woke on Sunday morning, Jonah’s surgery was nearing completion, and, within a few hours, he was conscious and doing well. Now, Jonah is sporting the most advanced medical technology available for his condition.
Four catheters were placed into Jonah’s brainstem through four small holes, providing a direct route into his tumour. These catheters are connected to a 3-D-printed port installed behind his ear. Shortly, this port will be used to allow cancer-killing drugs to be pumped directly into the tumour, sparing healthy tissue from their toxic effects.
We are confident that Jonah is receiving the best care in the best possible place. Look at this breakfast! When have you ever seen such nutritious hospital food?
